We are refurbishing the cafe and creating two new venue spaces by consolidating functions .

We have uncovered the beautiful windows in the cafe, put in new efficient double glazed crittal windows to allow for natural ventilation and daylight which is currently extremely limited.

The design looks to reference folk art along with decorative elements from the original building.

New PV panels are proposed to the roof area to offset additional energy requirements from the new kitchen and an energy audit has been undertaken allowing the CSH to implement a long term plan in with regards to reducing their energy requirements throughout the building as a whole (upgrading boilers, insulating pipework, draft-proofing, upgrading lighting to LED, movement sensors on lights etc).
